01 Subscription and billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then AdaptaFit, then Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

When the period ends, the app locks until you resubscribe. Your history stays on your phone, and Export My Data still works.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the AdaptaFit purchase and choose “Report a problem.”

What does AdaptaFit cost?

AdaptaFit is free to download, and your first month is free for new subscribers. After that, a subscription is needed to keep using the app: $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year (US prices; local prices vary). You pick a plan when you start, and you can cancel anytime.

Plan generations, coach messages and meal photos have daily and monthly limits.

02 Your plan and the coach

How does my plan adapt?

Your plan starts from your goals, experience, equipment, lifting days and the time cap for each day. It changes when you change it: rebuild today for the time you have, pick a different equipment setup with “Different setup today?”, or turn on travel mode.

The coach suggests bigger changes as Apply cards, such as swapping an exercise everywhere or moving a day. Nothing in your plan changes until you tap Apply, and every change has Undo. After each set you rate the reps you had left: a hard set adds rest, and your ratings help tune your next weights. More on the home page.

I missed a workout. Do I need to fix my plan?

No. The plan carries on by date, so you pick up with today’s session.

Can it plan around an injury?

You can tell the planner about injuries or limits, and it plans around them. AdaptaFit isn’t medical advice, so if something hurts, check with a professional.

03 Nutrition

When does measured maintenance start?

After about a month. AdaptaFit compares your weight trend with what you log, and it needs 28 days of data, 18 weigh-ins and food logged on 80% of days. Until then, your calorie target starts from an estimate. Imported food and weigh-ins can count toward it.

I fasted, but the day shows as not logged.

An empty day counts as not logged, never as eating nothing. To record a real fast, mark the day with “I fasted this day.”

Where do workout calories come from?

From the lifting you logged: your sets, load and effort, plus workout heart rate when you wear an Apple Watch. Steps from Apple Health feed your calorie target too.

04 Apple Watch

The Apple Watch app isn’t connecting to my iPhone.

The Watch app is a companion and works with AdaptaFit on your iPhone. Make sure both are installed under the same Apple ID and that you’ve opened the iPhone app today. Force-quit the iPhone app, reopen it, then relaunch the Watch app. If it still doesn’t connect, email us.

What does the Watch app do?

Start today’s workout, log weight and reps with the Digital Crown, answer the “how many more reps?” prompt and follow the rest timer. It works alongside your iPhone and doesn’t run on its own.

Can I track runs or cardio?

AdaptaFit doesn’t record cardio itself, and the Watch app has no cardio mode. “Start cardio” on Home opens Apple Fitness to record it, and your steps and active energy come back through Apple Health. Workout heart rate from a lifting session can feed your workout calories.

05 Your data and devices

Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?

No account, no login. Your diary, workouts and history are stored on your device.

Plan requests, coach messages, food lookups and the photos you choose to analyze are sent to our servers to be processed. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I back up, or move to a new phone?

Back up to your own iCloud with a tap in Settings. On a new phone, or after a reinstall, restore with “Recover my data.” The backup is a snapshot taken when you tap it, not a live sync, so back up again before you switch.

How do I import from another app?

AdaptaFit imports from Strong, Hevy, Stronglifts and MyFitnessPal: export from your old app, then choose the file in AdaptaFit’s Import history. You see a preview before anything is saved, and one tap undoes the import.

How do I export my data?

Use Export My Data to save workouts, food, weight, measurements and wellness as CSV spreadsheets plus one JSON file, anytime, even after you cancel.

Which devices does AdaptaFit run on?

iPhone with iOS 26.4 or later. It also runs on iPad as an iPhone app (“Designed for iPad”), and there’s an optional Apple Watch companion app.

06 Something else

I found a bug or the app crashed.

Email aidan@dualcore-int.com with a screenshot if you can grab one, plus your iPhone model and iOS version. AdaptaFit needs iOS 26.4 or later.

Is AdaptaFit medical advice?

No. AdaptaFit plans around the injuries and limits you tell it, but it isn’t medical advice. If something hurts, check with a professional.
